Unveiling Our Story: A Tapestry of Passion, Creativity, and Inspiration

ABOUT US

Welcome to Melange Productions!

At Melange Productions, our mission is to celebrate diversity and provide a creative platform for artists and entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds. We believe in the transformative power of the arts to unite, transcend boundaries, and foster understanding. Our community thrives on shared values of diversity and human rights, offering an inclusive space where every voice is heard.

Our Journey: Spreading Joy Through Art

Founded in 2011 in San Francisco, the Melange movement has expanded its influence to cities like New York City, Rio de Janeiro, and Boston. Collaborations with esteemed brands and designers like Sephora, Jean Paul Gaultier, and more drive our commitment to promoting joy and peace through the arts.

Redefining Beauty, Inspiring Confidence

Our stage has showcased trailblazers who redefine beauty norms, including Madeline Stuart, the first model with Down syndrome to grace the runway. These inspiring individuals challenge traditional perceptions of beauty with grace and confidence.

Empowered by Collaboration

Endorsement and support from influential figures and organizations amplify our impact. Our Advisory Board, featuring luminaries like Oscar-winning Director Bill Guttentag and UNESCO Artist for Peace Guila Kessous, guides our journey towards positive change.

Art for Global Change

Through productions, events, and collaboration, we confront narrow beauty ideals set by aristocracy and fashion houses. We champion self-acceptance and global change by showcasing diverse artistic visions that challenge norms and inspire positivity.

Embrace the kaleidoscope of creativity, where every color, every voice, and every story shines brilliantly in harmony

Founded in 2011 in San Francisco, the Melange movement emerged from local leaders dedicated to fostering diversity in the arts. In its inaugural year, Melange partnered with Nicole Miller and established a lasting connection with Sephora as the official makeup sponsor. Diverse artists, models, and designers, including Vogue-featured Igor Galas, journeyed from around the globe to join the first Melange show on August 6, 2011, at the San Francisco Design Center.

THE GENESIS

Throughout its journey, Melange has showcased performances by celebrity guests from prominent shows like America’s Got Talent, American Idol, and RuPaul’s Drag Race, among others. Notably, Melange collaborated with Bossini Boutique to present the Versace Spring/Summer 2012 Collection, and partnered with Autodesk for their Design Night fashion show for consecutive years. As its influence expanded within the technology and arts spheres, Melange's presence continued to flourish.

CELEBRITY SUPPORT

Recently, Melange achieved remarkable milestones. It had the privilege of presenting the Melange Lifetime Achievement Award to Jean Paul Gaultier in person at San Francisco's DeYoung Museum. The Melange catwalk showcased select READY-TO-WEAR pieces from Gaultier's collection. Internationally, Melange partnered with Rio de Janeiro's City Hall for two fashion arts events during the World Cup and Olympics festivities in Brazil. Additionally, Melange played a crucial role as an Executive Producer for the world premiere of Elie Wiesel’s "The Choice" at Harvard University in 2015.

GLOBAL TRACTION

EMERGING TALENT

While Melange has attracted renowned figures in the arts, its true luminaries are the emerging artists it launches. Notably, 5'5" Filipino model Nicole Bonifacio skyrocketed from Melange's platform, securing national campaigns with Hollister and globetrotting for fashion shows. Another standout, Bay Area's Thomas Goward, a proud African American, found his path dancing for Beyoncé and Usher in music videos after harnessing the support of the nurturing Melange community to transform his dreams into reality.
